 Dr. Clara Lora
Psychologist & Counselor in Boston, MA


Dr. Lora is a clinical psychologist who believes that anyone can benefit from counseling and therapy services that promote positive change, improved communication, higher self-esteem, and greater intimacy in daily life. Dr. Lora's areas of interest include issues pertaining to infertility, marital discord and couple's therapy, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other anxiety-related disorders, depression, bereavement, chronic pain management, end of life issues, and situational stressors. Dr. Lora conducts counseling, psychotherapy, and psychoanalysis with adults and adolescents on an individual basis or as part of comprehensive couples treatment.  Dr. Lora is a compassionate therapist who employs various therapeutic approaches including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, existential, and family systems. Dr. Lora also has an interest in and specialized training in divorce and conflict mediation services

Dr. Lora earned a Doctorate of Psychology and a Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in South Florida. She completed her APA-approved internship at the Harvard Medical School / VA Boston Healthcare System, which included training in outpatient mental health, substance abuse, and neuropsychology. Dr. Lora previously served as an Adjunct Professor at Emmanuel College. Dr. Lora is fully bilingual (English/Spanish). Her past research and the topic of her dissertation focused on the psychological impact of infertility and options for therapeutic intervention.  Dr. Lora offers individual psychotherapy, couples counseling and mediation services in our Financial District office.
