Psychologist & Grief Counselor in Newton, MA
Dr. Labb is a clinical psychologist who provides individual therapy for adults. She also leads the Wellness Group and the Parental Loss Grief Group, which offer education and support for individuals seeking to improve their overall health and well-being or to work through grief issues. Her approach to psychotherapy draws from a variety of theoretical perspectives, including relational, cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic models. Dr. Labb works collaboratively with her clients to develop an integrated approach to treatment that is tailored to the particular needs and interests of her clients. She offers a warm and supportive environment in which clients can address their concerns and grow in positive directions. Dr. Labb has particular interests in the areas of developmental issues, life transitions, career development, identity development, sexual orientation and improving health and fitness.
Dr. Labb received her doctoral degree from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology. She completed internship training at Faulkner Hospital's adult inpatient unit, treating individuals with a variety of diagnoses, including bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety. She also completed an internship at the Simmons College's Counseling Center. She completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship at the Tufts University Counseling Center. Dr. Labb offers psychotherapy and counseling services, as well as her Wellness Group and Parental Loss Grief Group in our Newton, MA office. |
