Dr. King is a multilingual, licensed psychologist who specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders and stress-related illness. As a Health Psychologist, she employs a solution-focused, holistic approach to help clients achieve a state of wellness and to progress toward goals. Her therapeutic style is warm and interactive, with a focus on facilitating the change clients most wish to make in their lives. Through Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques such as relaxation training, changing negative thinking patterns, and learning to set healthy limits in relationships, she helps clients address many of the stressors associated with the following types of medical and emotional concerns:

Dr. King earned a B.A. in French from Wellesley College, an M.Ed. in Counselor Training from the University of Massachusetts, and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University. Her dissertation focused on diversity enhancement. She completed her internship training at the University of Miami Counseling Center and the Miami VA Hospital, and is licensed in both Florida and Massachusetts.
As part of her education, Dr. King has studied in the U.S. and abroad, has completed training in organizational psychology/coaching, and has completed Dr. Herbert Benson?s Mind Body Medicine training through Harvard University. Prior to joining CPA, Dr. King was affiliated with Westwood Lodge Hospital and Newton-Wellesley Psychiatry in Massachusetts. Dr. King is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Massachusetts Psychological Association, and the Anxiety Disorders Association of America.
