![]() | Dr. Ericka Bohnel Psychologist & Career Counselor in Boston, MA Dr. Bohnel is a licensed psychologist who provides individual psychotherapy, couples counseling, and psychological assessment for adolescents and adults. She draws from a variety of theoretical perspectives including relational, cognitive behavioral, existential, and developmental. Dr. Bohnel works collaboratively and creatively with her clients in developing a therapeutic course most effective for each client's unique situation. She strives to create a warm and safe therapeutic environment which helps clients better understand their personal and relationship struggles, alter their thinking patterns, and improve the quality of their lives. Her particular areas of interest include: academic or career related concerns, depression, anxiety, trauma, significant illness and/or chronic health issues, identity development and sexual orientation, and relationship challenges. Dr. Bohnel received her doctoral degree from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota. She previously earned a Master's degree in Education from Hunter College in New York. She completed an APA-approved internship at South Shore Mental Health Center and Quincy Mental Health Center (QMHC). Her post-doctoral fellowship, also at QMHC, focused on psychological and forensic assessment. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Bohnel is a psychology instructor at Boston University. Dr. Bohnel offers psychotherapy, counseling, and assessment services in our Back Bay Boston office. |
