Neuropsychological Assessment
Commonwealth Psychology Associates provides comprehensive neuropsychological assessment
services for children, adults, and geriatric clients. Our neuropsychological testing
and evaluation services allow us to determine how and individual?s brain is functioning
and how brain-related issues might be impacting cognitive functioning.
Neuropsychological evaluations utilize paper-and-pencil or computerized types of
tests (no needles or wires!) that measure cognitive abilities such as:
|
• |
Learning and memory |
|
• |
Attention and concentration |
|
• |
Information processing speed |
|
• |
Language and communication |
|
• |
Visual perception |
Neuropsychological testing typically is

functioning, such as:
Based on a neuropsychological evaluation
and other clinical information, our neuropscyhologists identify a client?s cognitive
strengths, learning style, and potential areas of cognitive weakness. We also recommend
interventions including individualized strategies for overcoming difficulties and
make referrals for other services such as psychotherapy
or psychopharmacological treatment, if needed.
Our neuropsychologists
have several years of experience providing neuropsychological testing services for
children, adults, and geriatric clients experiencing cognitive problems.
Commonwealth Psychology Associates offers our neuropsychological testing services
to people living in and around the greater Boston and Newton areas, including the
surrounding Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire communities.
