Psychopharmacology
Although many emotional difficulties can be fully treated with psychotherapy alone, at times additional treatment with medication may be necessary. In fact, the research literature indicates that often the combination of psychotherapy and psychopharmacology is the most effective treatment for some conditions. During an initial consultation meeting, clients and our prescribers work collaboratively to identify the client’s individual needs and concerns and to determine whether medication or another non-medication treatment option may be most beneficial for the client.
At Commonwealth Psychology Associates, we offer psychopharmacology treatment programs for a range of emotional and cognitive problems, including mood problems, anxiety symptoms, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). When needed, our prescribers, Dr. Sean Mallari and Kathy Andolina, work closely with a client and his or her psychologist to identify the most effective psychopharmacology treatment options for each individual. They also carefully monitor the progress of clients to ensure that each person is receiving optimal benefit from psychopharmacological medications.
To schedule an initial consultation meeting with Dr. Sean Mallari or Kathy Andolina, please go to our Contact page or call our offices at 617-424-0765.
Commonwealth Psychology Associates offers psychopharmacology treatment to people living in and around the greater Boston area, including the surrounding Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire communities.
