Psychopharmacologist in Boston & Newton, MA
Sally Guy is a Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist with more than 25 years of psychiatric nursing experience, primarily in outpatient settings but also in hospital settings. She is Board Certified as a Clinical Specialist in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Sally provides psychopharmacological (i.e., medication) treatment for adults. She has extensive knowledge and experience in the assessment and treatment of depression, anxiety and a wide range of psychological disorders. Sally works collaboratively with clients in developing a treatment plan focused on target symptoms and problem-solving. Her approach includes incorporating traditional and complementary medication, nutrition, exercise, stress-management, and other healthy lifestyle changes.
Sally completed her Master of Science degree in Nursing at Northeastern University and her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Boston University, where she was class valedictorian. Before her current clinical position, Sally was adjunct faculty at University of Massachusetts, Lowell College of Health Professions Graduate School of Nursing for 10 years. Sally is a member of the Massachusetts Nurses Association, the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau, and NURS - Nurses United for Responsible Services. In addition, Sally has a BA in History from the University of Wisconsin, with a specialty in multi-cultural societies. She has traveled extensively in Central and South America, the United States, and Europe. Sally is also a visual artist.
