This 13-week group is co-led by psychologist
Dr. Courtney Labb and registered dietician,
Laura Foresta, RD, LDN. The group focuses on improving health and wellness by changing behaviors, habits and thoughts. By relying on the psychological principles of behavioral and cognitive change, members of this group will learn to develop healthier habits and lifestyles and, importantly, will develop the skills needed to maintain these changes for life. Members of this group will learn to spot personal roadblocks, identify negative thought patterns, develop strategies to stop the cycle of making excuses, find time to exercise, and utilize basic nutritional information to successfully navigate the grocery store and create healthy snacking and meal options. Members will learn from the group leaders as well as from each other in a supportive structured environment.

Dr. Ari Shesto. The group is designed to help individuals work toward long-term growth and improved functioning in many areas of life. Interpersonal group therapy can be especially helpful for improving relationships and developing greater satisfaction with one’s personal life, self-identity, relationships and career. By participating in a group with other members, clients have a unique opportunity to learn from other members, receive feedback and practice new behaviors and skills, all in a safe and supportive environment. This group is designed to complement and deepen ongoing individual psychotherapy and medical treatment.
Anxiety & Stress Management Group New Group Forming for 2012, Call Today
This weekly support and skill building group is led by
Dr. Ari Shesto. The group focuses on learning about stress and how to manage it more effectively. By learning to how to limit stress and to cope more effectively with stress, clients will develop the skills they need to improve the quality of their daily lives, as well as their psychological and physical well being. Participants will gain exposure to research-based psychological tools for long-term management of emotional and physical components of stress. Importantly, each meeting includes an educational component as well as a skill practice and development component. This group is appropriate for clients who are already involved in ongoing psychotherapy and medical treatment, as well as for individuals who are simply hoping to improve their daily lives.
Parental Loss & Grief Group New Group Forming for Spring 2012
This weekly support group is led by psychologist
Dr. Courtney Labb. The group is for individuals who have lost a parent and are struggling to navigate the grieving process. In a safe and supportive environment, members of the group share their personal experiences, offer support to other members of the group, and learn more about the grieving process. The mission of the group is to facilitate growth, learning and healing for all members, through their work together.
