Dr. Wendy Rotfort is a clinical psychologist who provides individual psychotherapy for adolescents and adults. She also provides couples therapy and family therapy for families with adolescent children. Dr. Rotfort believes that the most successful therapy occurs when a strong clinical rapport is developed between therapist and client. To that end, Dr. Rotfort works with clients to create a warm, therapeutic environment by collaborating with clients to understand their needs, determine treatment goals and work together toward achieving those goals.
Dr. Rotfort’s theoretical approach is rooted primarily in psychodynamic and relational models, though she has significant experience implementing both cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavioral interventions. She believes that each client is unique and she strives to tailor the treatment accordingly. Dr. Rotfort’s clinical interests are wide-ranging and include working with clients to alleviate symptoms of depression, anxiety, interpersonal conflict, grief, loss, and trauma.
Dr. Rotfort received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology.
