Dr. Matskevich is a Board Certified adult psychiatrist and offers psychiatric diagnostic assessments, medication consultation, psychopharmacology, and psychotherapy services. She believes strongly in the combination of therapeutic alliance and when indicated, evidence-based medicine. Both in theory and in practice, she knows that treatment has to be collaborative in order to be successful.
Dr. Matskevich graduated from the University of Florida where she majored in English Literature. She then attended the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where she fell in love with psychiatry. After medical school she moved to Boston for the Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Training Program. She trained at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Beth Israel Deaconness Medical Center, and was co-chief resident of the inpatient psychiatric unit. Upon graduation, she received the Henry G. Altman award for excellence in medical education. She is currently a faculty member at Harvard Medical School, where she teaches psychopharmacology.
