Bonnie Andrews, MPH, Ph.D.

Psychologist & Counselor   |   North Station, Boston, MA

Dr. Andrews is a licensed psychologist providing individual psychotherapy for adults. Her approach to psychotherapy draws from a variety of perspectives, including humanistic-existential and relational psychodynamic as well as CBT and ACT depending on clients’ needs. Dr. Andrews believes in the importance of creating a warm, genuine, and non-judgmental space where people seeking therapy can explore issues of concern and experience growth, change, and deeper self-understanding. Dr. Andrews’s interests and areas of specialty include:

  • Sex and sexuality issues
  • Trauma
  • Work/life issues
  • Life transitions
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Substance use
  • Family of origin issues
  • Identity issues (race/ethnicity, gender, sexuality)

Dr. Andrews earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from UMass Boston after first earning a Master of Public Health degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed her APA-accredited internship training at Towson University Counseling Center in Towson, Maryland. Dr. Andrews has extensive experience training in college counseling centers. Dr. Andrews also has experience designing programming for military-affiliated and Veteran students. Prior to studying psychology, she worked as a manager and epidemiologist at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health with a focus on chronic health conditions and health inequities. She has also worked in reproductive health settings as a reproductive health counselor and clinic director. Dr. Andrews sees clients in our Financial District office.
