Dr. Levy provides individual psychotherapy for adults, couples and families. Dr. Levy approaches therapy from a relational perspective, and enjoys working collaboratively with clients and their strengths to create change. She is particularly interested in working with clients around family of origin issues, relationships issues, trauma, couples work, sexual relationships and sexuality and college students. She is also interested in working with people experiencing depression, stress, anxiety, trauma or grief.
Dr. Levy’s therapeutic style is collaborative, warm, and integrative and she approaches care with experience in humanistic therapy, cognitive behavioral approaches, trauma-informed care, psychodynamic models and mindfulness. Dr. Levy believes that it is imperative to work with the specific needs of each individual to help build awareness and connection and approaches therapy with warmth, flexibility, and understanding.
Dr. Levy earned her Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from William James College in Newton, MA after first earning a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. She completed her APA-accredited internship training at Y.O.U. Inc. where she provided individual and family therapy as well as psychological testing and assessment. She also completed an APA-accredited post-doctoral fellowship at Tufts University’s Counseling and Mental Health Services. Dr. Levy has clinical experience in a number of other settings, which include: Eating disorder treatment, community mental health centers, and an acute-care inpatient residential center for children. She sees clients in our Cambridge office.
