Therapy & Counseling |
Hannah Fulkerson is an independent Licensed Mental Health Counselor who provides individual psychotherapy for adults and young adults. She has worked with individuals from a diverse range of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds within the greater Boston area. Hannah draws from cognitive behavioral, relational, narrative, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based perspectives.
Her integrative approach to psychotherapy comes from a deep openness to present life experiences. This involves an intentional connection to the present moment, and a cultivation of skills and tools to bring that awareness outside of the therapy room and into everyday life. Hannah believes that through awareness comes choice. Clients are guided through the process of identifying and committing to strategies aligned with living a life more closely tied to their values. Sessions include a blend of practical skills building from experiential and process-based work, as well as outlining committed actions that move clients towards a meaningful life. Hannah engages her clients with a non-judgmental, warm and strengths-based approach in order to move towards desired goals. Goals are created collaboratively, and strategies are tailored to the individual needs of the client.
Hannah received her Masters degree from the University of Louisville with a concentration in Art Therapy. Her interests and areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, stress management, and life transitions or adjustments. She sees clients in our Cambridge office.
