Dr. Centi provides comprehensive neuropsychological assessments and treatment plans for adults with cognitive, behavioral or psychological concerns. His clinical interests include mild traumatic brain injury, neurodegenerative diseases, oncology, autoimmune disorders, epilepsy, and stroke/vascular injury. Dr. Centi also has significant experience evaluating individuals with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning disabilities, and psychiatric disorders.
Dr. Centi believes that neuropsychological problems are often complex and can be influenced by the unique characteristics of an individual’s developmental, medical, psychological and sociocultural backgrounds. Therefore, his approach to clinical care is multidimensional, with consideration given to all aspects of physical and mental health that may be adversely impacting cognitive functioning and quality of life. He works with his clients to help them better understand their strengths and how best to address areas of vulnerability, with the goal of optimizing everyday functioning and wellbeing. He also provides formal cognitive rehabilitation services focused on improving attention, memory and executive functioning.
Dr. Centi received his doctoral degree in clinical psychology with a neuropsychological specialization from Boston University. He completed his neuropsychology internship at Massachusetts General Hospital. He also completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship within the Harvard Medical School Neuropsychology Consortium, which included rotations at the Massachusetts General Hospital Psychological Assessment Center and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital Center for Brain Mind Medicine.
