Dr. Wagner provides individual psychotherapy for clients of varying ages, ethnicities, and presenting problems. Taking into account the specific needs of each client, her theoretical orientation includes elements of cognitive-behavioral, relational, and family systems therapy. Dr. Wagner believes that by developing a warm, empathic therapeutic relationship, each client is capable of working toward positive change and self-growth.
Dr. Wagner employs a collaborative approach and actively involves clients in deciding how they envision the therapeutic experience. And, she strives to help clients understand their role in larger life systems (relationships with family members, significant others). Dr. Wagner’s areas of specialty include anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, and relationship difficulties.
Dr. Wagner received her doctoral degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She completed a pre-doctoral internship at Bridge View & Challenger Day School in Niles, IL and a postdoctoral fellowship at Wheeler Clinic in Plainville, CT. Dr. Wagner offers psychotherapy and counseling services in our Back Bay office.
