Dr. Lingard is a licensed psychologist who provides individual psychotherapy for adults. His clinical interests include depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, substance use disorders and other behavioral addictions, and relationship and career concerns.
Dr. Lingard considers the therapeutic relationship to be a real relationship among equals. He believes that creating a nonjudgmental and authentic environment helps clients as they engage in the often difficult work of therapy. He has specific training and experience with evidence-based practices including Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. He works collaboratively with clients to prioritize treatment goals and select effective treatment interventions.
Dr. Lingard received his doctoral degree from Xavier University in Ohio. He previously earned a Master’s of Education degree in Counseling at the University of Pennsylvania. He completed an APA-accredited internship at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center and continued working there for his post-doctoral experience.
