Dr. Brewer is a licensed psychologist providing individual and couples psychotherapy for adults and young adults. His relational, empathic approach to treatment focuses on facilitating psychological and interpersonal health and wellness through exploring and processing each client’s unique strengths, challenges, and life experiences.
Dr. Brewer draws from a variety of therapeutic modalities including psychodynamic, attachment-based, emotion-focused, and integrative approaches to treatment. He works collaboratively with his clients to foster a safe and trusting space where clients feel comfortable sharing vulnerable aspects of self. Dr. Brewer tailors treatment to each client’s needs to reach their personal and relational goals, address concerns impacting their well-being, and move towards personal growth and healing.

Dr. Brewer earned his Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University. He completed his APA-accredited internship training at the VA Pacific Islands Healthcare System in Honolulu, HI, where he focused on treating trauma and providing couple psychotherapy. He also completed a postdoctoral residency at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veteran’s Hospital in Bedford, MA, where he worked in a specialty outpatient clinic focusing on building relationship health and safety. In addition, he has worked in several community mental health clinics, homeless shelters, and a specialty clinic focusing on treating psychological challenges related to spinal cord injuries and disorders.
