Child Psychiatry & Pediatric Neuropsychological Evaluations Now Available

October 17, 2018|Child & Adolescent

We are excited to announce that our Newton-Watertown office now provides expanded Child & Adolescent services, including child psychiatry and pediatric neuropsychological evaluations & psychological assessments.

Pediatric neuropsychological evaluations & psychological assessments address concerns relating to

  • ADHD & Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) testing & treatment planning
  • Concussions
  • Academic difficulties
  • Social difficulties
  • Executive functioning
  • Emotion regulation

Each assessment is tailored to develop a better understanding of the presenting problem, whether it be social or emotional functioning or learning issues. The information gathered during the evaluation is used to create recommendations for improved daily functioning at home and at school.

Child psychiatry offers an in-depth, focused evaluation that examines the role biological, psychological, and social factors may play in emotional and behavioral concerns. Our child psychiatry team works with children and families to understand presenting issues, formulate diagnostic impressions, make treatment recommendations, make treatment recommendations, and to provide medication consultation and management.
