Jaime Eckert, MSN, RN, PC, PMHCNS-BC is a Board Certified clinical nurse specialist with approximately fifteen years of experience in behavioral health working with a diverse patient population across multiple inpatient, outpatient and residential treatment settings. She possesses a broad range of knowledge and clinical expertise regarding psychiatric medication management for treatment of a wide range of psychiatric disorders, including but not limited to major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, insomnia, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder.
Ms. Eckert offers a warm, empathic and collaborative approach to treatment with her clients. She strives to empower clients by offering the most up-to-date, evidence-based clinical guidance during their treatment planning process so that they may most easily make informed decisions in order to achieve their ultimate treatment goals. Ms. Eckert believes in highlighting individuals’ personal strengths, skills and attributes that can be utilized in recovery while evaluating problematic symptoms or behaviors that they wish to change. It is Ms. Eckert’s philosophy that utilizing psychotherapy, coping skills, and healthy lifestyle choices in conjunction with psychiatric medications often produces the best possible outcomes in treatment.
Christie Garbarino, PMHNP-BC is a Board Certified psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner who provides diagnostic evaluations, psychopharmacological management, and individual psychotherapy. Christie has worked for over ten years in a variety of psychiatric environments, including a community mental health center, a dual diagnosis inpatient unit, and a college counseling center. She enjoys working with adults of all ages who present with a diversity of psychiatric needs.
Christie maintains a treatment philosophy that is holistic in nature, placing emphasis on assessing and treating the entire person. She believes that combining medication and psychotherapy often leads to the most successful outcomes. She uses both psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral theories in her work with clients, and she sees the formation of a strong therapeutic alliance as essential. Consequently, Christie values a team approach in working together with the individual to develop an appropriate plan of care. She is passionate about mental health care and grateful to have the opportunity to work with her clients.
