New: Specialty Psychiatry for Pregnant & Post-Partum Women

Commonwealth Psychology Associates® is excited to announce that the psychiatry team in our Newton-Wellesley and Newton-Watertown offices now offers women’s health-specific psychiatric services for pregnant and post-partum women.

Women who regularly take psychiatric medications may have specialized needs during pregnancy and in the post-partum months. Our clinical team provides expert guidance and takes a personalized approach to educating women about their options, empowering each woman to make her own optimal decisions regarding managing her medication during and after pregnancy. This service is ideal for women seeking help related to:

  • Managing medications for anxiety and/or depression while pregnant
  • Post-partum mood disorders
  • Post-partum anxiety disorders
  • Sleep disturbances related to pregnancy and/or the post-partum transition
  • Navigating the transition into motherhood
  • Body image disturbances during and after pregnancy
  • Concentration/inability to focus
