TMS Therapy: Frequently Asked Question #4

November 29, 2016|TMS Therapy

Since we introduced Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Therapy for depression at our Financial District office, we’ve received many questions about the service. We’ll be answering some of the most common questions in a weekly series on our blog. Here’s our fourth Q & A:

Does health insurance cover TMS Therapy?

TMS Therapy is a covered benefit by most health plans and subject to medical necessity policies and prior authorization. After an initial consultation with our TMS certified psychiatrist, our staff will seek prior authorization approval for any clients for whom TMS is deemed clinically appropriate.
